How To Use Card Lock

You can help protect your SECU accounts from unwanted transactions by locking your debit card and credit card directly from your mobile device.
If you’ve misplaced your card, you can lock it from the convenience of the SECU Mobile App. Locking your card will block point-of-sale transactions, mobile payments, and cash advances made with your physical card or card number. Locking your card will not affect recurring or pre-authorized transactions, subscriptions, returns, and credits. If you find your misplaced card, you can unlock your card from the Mobile App and start spending again.

Locking a card blocks certain transactions:
Not allowed
- Point-of-sale transactions
- Online purchases
- Mobile payments
- Cash advances
Allowed
- Recurring transactions
- Subscriptions
- Returns
- Credits
How to lock your card
Step 1: Open the SECU Mobile App and tap the “more” tab
Step 2: Tap “manage cards”
Step 3: Select the misplaced card
Step 4: Toggle the Card Lock feature to “on”
That’s it! Your card is now safely locked.
The Card Lock feature is not a substitute for reporting lost or stolen cards. Report lost or stolen cards immediately by calling Member Services Support at (888) 732-8562.
Ready to use your card again? You can unlock it through the SECU Mobile App, too!
How to unlock your card
Step 1: Select the locked card
Step 2: Toggle the Card Lock feature to “off”
