SECU Employee and Member

Team SECU in the community

SECU’s mission of service extends to our North Carolina communities, with the Credit Union’s 8,000+ employees helping in a variety of impactful ways. Team members from branches and operations centers across the state volunteer in their local communities serving meals at SECU Family Houses, hosting food collections and blood drives, participating in walks for March of Dimes and the American Heart Association, and assisting with many other charitable efforts.

Advisory Boards

Member volunteers are a valuable resource for our member-owned cooperative. SECU has 3,200 member volunteers who serve across the state on local Advisory Boards.

Each SECU branch has an Advisory Board, comprised of up to 12 volunteers who serve as an important link to connect our membership with our staff and Board of Directors, another vital group of member volunteers. Advisory Boards meet quarterly to receive organization updates and provide valuable feedback to help SECU best meet the needs of our members.
