The member-funded SECU Foundation is a 501(c)(3) created by SECU in 2004 to promote local and community development by funding high impact projects in the areas of housing, education, health care, and human services. SECU is pleased to support the State Employees Combined Campaign, a program established in 1984 to provide active and retired state employees a simple and convenient way to donate to a wide variety of charities. As a credit union that serves state government employees, SECU employees participate in the campaign and have contributed over $1 million to this charitable effort.

Discount theme park ticket sales will resume in 2025.

The Governor’s School Supply Drive is an initiative that helps North Carolina students and teachers get items they need each school year. SECU is happy to participate in this important effort by having each of our branches serve as collection sites for the annual event.

SECU’s statewide Annual Toy Drive helps spread joy to North Carolina children and families during the holiday season. Working collaboratively with local organizations and charities, the successful program has resulted in the collection and delivery of thousands of toys in our communities across the state.

SECU’s Summer Camp Awards program gives FAT CAT® and Zard® members a chance to enjoy a fun summer experience. During the campaign, youth members can apply for a $500 award to help cover the costs of their camp expenses for the summer season. Hundreds of SECU youth are realizing their summer camp dreams through this exciting program.
